After closing a $13 million investment earlier this year, online custom menswear company Indochino hit the road for a ten city tour with their “Traveling Tailor.” Along with brands like Warby Parker, which just opened its first brick-and-mortar retail store, Indochino is leading a growing trend of ecommerce companies expanding offline.
Buying a custom suit online was an entirely new concept when Indochino launched in 2007, but the company has experienced rapid growth since then. With a devoted customer base that extends across 65 countries, calling Indochino the global leader in online custom menswear a bit of an understatement.
Now firmly established online, Indochino is ready to take on the biggest offline retailers.
“We are innovating the way men dress. Custom is the new standard,” said CEO Kyle Vucko.
Traveling Tailor is an opportunity for people to enter the Indochino world with expert personal stylists and fit specialists as their guides. Designed to complement the web experience, expect a seamless transition from offline to online. Once Indochino has your measurement profile, they can custom make clothing and ship it anywhere in the world.
Indochino will be in Philadelphia until May 27. Stay tuned for them to announce the next city on their tour.
